Our History

Akindayomi, born in 1909, founded the Redeemed Christian Church of God in 1952. Enoch Adeboye became his successor in the '70s. The church has since expanded globally, with thousands of parishes across Africa, Europe, and the United States.

Our Belief

Redeemed Christian Church: Bible-based, Trinity belief, salvation through Jesus, baptism, prayer, marriage sanctity, opposes divorce, anticipates Christ's return.

STATEMENT OF FAITH

Creator of Heaven and Earth, who made man in His own image and likeness.

GOD THE FATHER

The three persons of the Godhead; God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit Three in One.

THE HOLY TRINITY

Jesus Christ died on the cross at Calvary for the sins of mankind. He rose from the Dead in His glorified body on the third day, and He ascended into heaven where He is seated at the right hand of God the Father.

THE DEATH AND RESURRECTION OF JESUS CHRIST

It was shed for us on the cross at Calvary, cleanses us from all sin and grants us access into the presence of God.

THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST

The infallible and authoritative word of God is given to direct all men and women to salvation.

That man was created in the image and likeness of God to be fruitful, to multiply, to replenish the earth, to subdue it, and to have dominion over it.
